Do any of you guys bash in the rain or just in the sun?

RE: Play In The Rain
Not in the rain for me. I wouldnt risk trashing my transmitter.

RE: Play In The Rain
I did it once awhile ago, I was covered but the buggy was in the rain, it was fun
i drove it on the street with street tires, i havent had any problems since. I might do it again to day except in the grass. |

ye i always drive it in the rain so long as its not bucketing down and theres no giant pudles
|
RE: Play In The Rain
drove my jato in the rain...no probs, but hidroplaned at every puddle. if you do run in the rain just make sure you hav everything covered, and try not to, even tho it seems imposible, to keep the air filter dry.

RE: Play In The Rain
Sounds like a pain, I hate cleaning my cars and all that grass, mud, and grime would kill me. Plus, I'd never risk my electronics.

RE: Play In The Rain
Check out this Video of some guys playing in the MUD. Our track had a big race this last weekend. Scotty Ernst was race director. We got rained out after first set of heat races. Didnt stop a bunch of the guys from going out and Kicking up the MUD. [link=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-6o-F8-wVE]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-6o-F8-wVE[/link]

RE: Play In The Rain
I try to stay out of the rain unless it's a race day, becuasde if you want your buggy you be running in top condition for a long time and you run in the rain your gonna need to do some extra maintence after your done running. Going through the drivline nmaking sure everything is well lubed, and putting some oil on mo0st of the metal parts and joints to keep rust from forming (unless its ano aluminum, then just spray the dirt off with some denatured alchohal, and ur done with that piece). Also im assuming were not talking about pouring rain that is an easy way to ruin radio equipment mainly servoes becuase your reciever is preatty well protected in its box, and although I've never actually heard of anyones transmitter being ruined by getting wet I wouldn't be surpirsed if it happend

RE: Play In The Rain
Hey Damin69 that vid was sick man nice work looks like a lot of fun

RE: Play In The Rain
I don't personally. The last race meet at my track that had rain resulted in some damage. The winner of the race had to replace a servo and reciever as they died after the race.
