nitro buggy problem HELP
 
hi, ive got a xtm xt2 and recently it has been making a kind of loud clicking noise when u push it back and forth or drive it .I dont know what is creating this noise but when the engine is seperated from the clutch bell none of them even make a noise. please help me

My guess is that your gear mesh wasn't right or your clutch bearings are shot.

thanks for the comments. i was thinking will i need a new clutch bell because ive tried moving the engine around but it still makes the same noise ,cant even move the car or the clutch bell isnt even touching the diff

This is a common setup prob, IMO from your decriptionI agree with K B, either your engine has moved and closed gear mesh, or more than likely, the clutch bearings are shot and seeing as you have to remove the bell, replace the clutch springs and shoes too as it may be them. You dont often get a clicking from the drivetrain itself, but it could be that a grub screw has com slightly loose on one of the front or rear diff input drive cups and its spinning and the click is when it passes it locating dent each time.

a common prob. 4 the xt2 is the clutch bearings r bad its the way they set it up
