Hyper 7 PBS
 

I have a friend who is getting rid of his Hyper 7 PBS. I have a Savage X right now. and I know little to nothing about the Hyper 7. Is this a good buggy to run around the yard and do some occasional jumps with? Or is this mainly for track? It looks like it is low to the ground and im affraid it wont handle jumps well.

Thanks in advance I am a newb when it comes to nitro. The savage is my first nitro and i have only had it for a couple weeks.

You need to check out some videos on racing as the tracks I go to we get at least 6 feet of air and I have see other tracks where that if not very high at all. The Hyper 7 is a very tough buggy. Since starting to race my Hyper 8 the past year my Savage only saw about 2 gallons of fuel.

I know these are really good racing buggies but I really dont think I will be racing it at all. I do enjoy doing some small bashing (i'm not really good controlling it yet so im a little affraid) with my savage X and I want to make sure that the buggy can handle it. It just looks with the low rid that it would bottom out a lot. If you could link some of those videos that would be great.

Do you meant bottoming out jumping or running? Yes they do not do well in real rough terrain but as far as jumping RC vehicles are suppose to bottom out on bigger jumps or you would be breaking a whole lot more parts. My Savage bottoms out but I do have it set for racing and is quite low comparison to stock. Now a good buggy is WAY faster then any Savage! :D

The PBS was made for bashing, it will also take the jumps alot better than your savage,The reason it's low will be quite simple, your buddy hasn't set it up. All it witll need is some sorting out of the shock oil levels and it'll be well up for what you want to do.

Great. I am making a website for his company and he is short on cash so he offered me the buggy. From what I am hearing it will be fun. I will just be running it in grass and maybe some dirt jumps here and there. As long as it can take the abuse of a newbie who isnt all that good at driving yet then i will get it :)
