Need Your Opinion?

Looking at getting a buggy. I have been into mt's for years and just recently stadium trucks, but I like the looks, speed and toughness that if have seen from buggies. Plan on racing it but I will bash it as well. Looking at these three here. Just wanted to get your views on each of them. Just remember it will be raced and bashed so it needs to be durable. If you know a better buggy in the price range of these then post a link. Thanks.

Of those 3, the Hyper 7. I know very little about the Duratrax, but haven't really liked many of their other products. I've seen a couple at the track, but driven by noobs it's tough to gauge a car. ;) The MBX is outdated, more so than the Hyper 7.

With the $$ you'll have to spend to make any of those cars raceable, you should save yourself the trouble and get a better car, like this one:

All you would need is one decent high torque servo for steering, and you'd have a pretty good first time club level racer. ;)

Out of the ones you have listed yes the Hyper 7 is the best choice. If you have other RC vehicles means you have a radio and recommend getting a pro kit like the Hyper 8.5.

Are you limited to about $300? You could probably find a better kit on ebay, and get a decent set of electronics and motor/pipe.

There's nothing tragically wrong with those 3 cars, but they aren't nearly as good for racing as most of the kits available today. I suggest you go with a Hyper 8(or 8.5), Losi 8, Mugen or one of the better companies. Those cars are great handlers, and very durable.
