hyper 21 vs mac star.28

which one is better for a hyper 7??
is the 21 more fuel efficient?
can you get the 21 to go as hard as the .28?

RE: hyper 21 vs mac star.28

I've seen two hyper 8 with one had the mac star .28 and the other had the 21. I can barely compare them. They have them two of my friends. They put them ia a race and the winner was the 21. The race was in a dirt ground with no little stones and that stuff, in 30-40 metres, the 28 finish half metre after the 21. :D

I have both engines and the 28 uses more fuel.

28 more cc than the 21, of course and the 28 needs more fuel. ;)

The guy needs to fit a slightly larger clutch bell, then there would be no chance of the 21 4 port beating the 28

Have owned both 4-port and 8-port hyper 21's. The 4-port is a nice motor, but the 8-port is a screamer than will run with almost anything out there. The 8-port will smoke a mac star .28.

Hyper .21 8 port rocks for the money. There's nothing else near for speed in that price range.

Yeah but its a $120 engine against a $270 engine (and thats the cheap version). So not really comparable.
My 1.1 car smokes my wifes, but mine cost £20,000 and hers £500 :)

So the .21 8 port is a very competitive engine then? How about life span? I've got one that came with my violator, but I have yet to get a bump box for it so I can't run it yet. I've got a mach 28 in my hyper 7 and am not too thrilled with it. Just got done sealing it tonight so I'll try it again tomorrow. Another 21 8 port may be what I replace it with.
