Does Anyone Make A Front ONEWAY Diff For Any Buggy???

Im wondering does anyone make one??? im asking for my inferno gt that i plan to take to the local onroad circut track and thought it would be intersting if they made one

even tho i serously dout anyone has ever made one but who knows i thought it would be worth asking

PS before most people bite my head off and say the inferno gt is a onroad car not a buggy please rember that about 90% of the inferno gt is just a kyosho 7.5 US sport thats why i asked in the buggie section

Gives more on-power steering and stability, at least it did on my Xray.

if you mean the XRAY active diff [link=http://www.teamxray.com/teamxray/news/newsdesc.php?news_id=1305&kategoria=1305&Xnet_Sess ion=adc7d9c4b824ce0cd1fa9a38c526b791]SHOWN HERE[/link] then yes they do make a diff that locks up on power
so do BBF, who have made Tactyl diffs for most poular cars for a few years now as have Fioroni with their Tractive IV diffs

basically these are powerlock or varilock diffs that just lock up under power but run fairly freely off power, the locking action is tunable by the use of ramps of different angles which is explained at the bottom of the XRAY link i posted above ;)

however, they are NOT 1way diffs like the original poster asked for but they are probably the closest thing in on power operation & feel available to us at the moment ;)

a good page explaining varilock diff operation [link=http://www.variloc.com/variloc_theory.htm]HERE[/link] [:-]

Just a thought...would a true one way diff cause a strange delay or a sort of hunting feeling in the center diff of an 1/8th scale that would most likely occur just as you apply power. It would seem that the loss of connection that occurs with a one way diff would mess up the action of the center diff. One ways are on cars that have no center diff in most cases anyway. With the racers I race against, letting off the gas for a prolonged period of time to allow your car to rotate into a turn and let a one way be effective would result in watching everone blow by you like you were parked so the best way seems to be to set your car up to steer with quick turn in and get on the power as soon as possible. Smoooooth but fast or you will always be last.

I ran these BBF tactyl front & center diffs back when I had K-cars & they work VERY VERY well on looser surfaces. When I say very well I'm talkin a few seconds off my lap times starting the day I put them in. I would love to have some now but they are difficult to get in the US now days.

Back on topic the one-way will make the car cut around tight corners very quikly and you will have zero off power push but there is the breaking issue (no front breaks).

Xray does.
Xray does NOT, as Adam said theirs is only a variation on the LSD theme. There is no one way on the market for 1/8th buggies. Also on an off-road buggy the pouding the diffs receive would mean that if one was made it would need to be quite meaty.
