carb problem
i have a turmoil rtr with the .26 v2 motor and i am having trouble with the carb coming loose everytime i run. i bought it on ebay, it was very very clean when i got it, not a scratch on it. the guy told me he only break it in but its ebay and everyone seems to lie on ebay.
i think either the guy who previously owned it tightened the carb to much and it oblonged(sp?) the crank case where the carb goes or the throttle servo rate of travel is to high and its pulling the carb loose when i go full throttle. just wondering if anyone has experienced these problems before thanks! |
RE: carb problem
ok so i took the carb out and put some plumbers tape on it and put it back on the motor and tightened it down, do you think this will work to keep it from coming loose? and if it still does come loose do you think it will keep it from leaking air?

RE: carb problem
Is there a rubber O-ring in there?
It should be a close fit. If either tha carb or the engine casing were out of shape they would most probably crack being aluminium alloy |
RE: carb problem
it does have the o-rings. i think the crank case is outa shape. i did the plumbers tape thing just as a short term solutions till i buy a new motor
