Got 2 and I like one of them (I have the 21B and the 30 REV2) the Rev 2 is where they (STS) had some problems, but from what I hear the new STS engines are great.

RE: STS

i've run 2 d21b's this year in a buggy and truggy and they are awesome. they lasted about 5 gallons (heavily modified, race tuned and only 30%) the crank shafts cracked in two on the same week. the pinch is still very good so i have two new cranks, new bearings and conrod on order. they are heavily modified and give outstanding performance for the money. if not for a great deal on some RB's i would still be running them. i'll get them back together and have them for spares. the only problem i have had with them is they come from hong kong and if you need something it takes about 2 weeks to get here, not too much us support either. they have descent bottom end, very good mid and top end, they hold a tune all day and love to be run hard. i run byrons gen2 3000, odo99 plugz, and it took very lean operation to break 200c, they like 210ish with 2 copper shims. very very good for the money. there are some new sts's out this year, S21T and so far there have been no complaints.

RE: STS

I have had 6 STS engines and the only one I had problems with is one modified by RBmods. Right now I am running a STS D21T MKII. As a budget engine I think the STS D21B is one of the best for the money. I have a D21B that has WELL over 5 gallons on it and is still running fine. Like any engine a lot has to do with how you tune and take care of it.

In order to get my STS engines to perform like I want they run between 250 and 270 degrees. But in my opinion anything between 220 to 280 is fine. I run Byron 30% with a hot plug.

IF you are talking about STS web site I do not have a problem as I just checked. Now if you are talking about STS Micro Engines who was just an importer they shut down but there are at least 2 others selling STS engines in the US.
