How does the RC8 handle in comparison to the 8ight?
A buddy of mine let me try his 8ight-b the other day... It was a huge difference compared to my Hyper 8. It felt lighter, slightly twitchy, and I couldn't believe how much you could power through corners. Literally you just turn the wheel and pin the throttle. I was obviously faster with it.
My question is, how does the 8ight compare to the RC8... can you just point and shoot so to speak? |
RE: How does the RC8 handle in comparison to the 8ight?
The RC8 handles between the Hyper 8 and the losi 8 IMO. I have owned and run the hyper 8 and 8.5 for over two years and
just begun to run the RC8 for the last month. I have test driven many losi 8's and decided on the RC8 for several reasons, Handling for my style being the number one reason. The RC8 has a lighter feel then the Hyper 8 , jumps better and carries corner speeds better. The RC8 can be driven harder then the the losi . The rc8 fits my driving style better then the losi but in the right hands the losi is a faster car but not for me. I have had no breakage with my rc8 after three gallons and no noticable wear. The hyper8 is industructable and cheap! The new hyper 9 although a strange design by conventional standards may be winner. There all good cars you just have to find the one that gives you the most confidence. |

About the same an nneither the hyper 8 or 8.5 can steer like a losi or rc8. IMP the two fastest cars on the market are the RC8 and the losi 8.

setup has a lot to do with it too. shocks, diffs, servos, tires, it all changes the handling of a car drastically. you can't just decide from 1 drive which handles better or which turns more. i chose the hyper cause of pars availability and cost and after some tweeks and mods it turns with anybody out there.

All I can say is my RC8 CAN FREGGIN TURN!!!!!!!!!!You just point it where you want it to go and it goes there!
RC8 got my vote.. :D |
RE: How does the RC8 handle in comparison to the 8ight?
My RC8 broke and fell apart out of the box, and I didn't like having to spend $200 in CNC upgrades to make it track ready. The rear plate, top steering plate, hingepin retainers, lower arms, it was stupid. I went back to my Losi 8ight and have never been happier, and it's a faster car to drive for me. Accerlates better and floats over bumps, the RC8 hops.
