Maximum Engine Size?
What is the maximum size engine for 1/8 buggies at most tracks for races? I want to get a buggy but I don't know what engine size I should get. :D

RE: Maximum Engine Size?
.21 is the ROAR legal size, but most club tracks will allow up to a .28

RE: Maximum Engine Size?
are you gonna get a rtr or a kit? most rtr buggies dont come with a .21 motor although 2 ofna buggies do(hyper 7 and the new ofna picco buggy)

RE: Maximum Engine Size?
I was thinking of getting a Hyper 7 TQ Sport RTR. It has a .21 engine, would this be big enough for racing at the local track?

RE: Maximum Engine Size?
i bought a used Hyper 7 Pro for $200 and it came with a Picco .21, but i'm almost positive it's not stock

RE: Maximum Engine Size?
im not totally sure because ive never driven one. it should be able to hang in club races. but i do know its not always about how much your buggy or motor cost, its how you drive.
i call my buggy "the budget buggy" because i dont spend tons of money on it like others do. i have a $109 motor, a $50 dynamite pipe, and some aluminum clutch shoes |
RE: Maximum Engine Size?
One more question, is there a maximum tank size at any buggy races?
|
RE: Maximum Engine Size?
For ROAR sanctioned races, it's 125cc. Most buggies come with a 125cc tank and I'm pretty sure the Hyper 7 is no exception.

RE: Maximum Engine Size?
truggies have a 145 cc tank
