RE: new tm buggy

Does not do much for me. Looks a little cheap but hard to tell with some of those pics. Also linkages and where stuff is laid out looks a little out of the ordinary, sort of 1/10 scale to me.

Looks wise the HB D8 looks waaaaaaaayyyy better. The only thing that really matters though is durabilty and handling. We want know that until someone actually buys one.

RE: new tm buggy

its basically a revised , improved M1-B buggy.
While they had issues with teh M1-B and M1-B Turbo the M8 has supposed addressed all those issues.
If there is one thing i can tell you the build is awesome and the parts fit exceptionally well.
I have an priginal M1-B that broke on its first run it now is used as a basher in parking lots after i modded the rear suspension to use Casterracing ZX-1 a-arms and uprights.

Will be a while before more feedback starts popping up about teh M8 though.

RE: new tm buggy

Not to mention it has paper thin shock towers as well... looks like a buggy with potential, but it's been designed badly.

I think the constant redisighning of there product shows a commiment to put out a good product. I notice that they kept a couple of thing from there previous designs. Which shows they have found things that work and are moving to fix things that don't. Hard to be innovative if you do things like everyone else.

1. The flying wing suspension arms
2. Quick release center diff that doubles as a brake protector. really liked that idea a protector to keep gas off your brakes.
3. Quick release gas tank low center of gravity. another good idea
4. Adjustable pipe mount. was never really sold on this idea, I dont see anything that holds the pipe in place. As in no vibration looks like the pipe lays in that plastic tray?
5. Low center of gravity radio tray with laydown servos and wire tunnel and it was quick release. Thats always a good idea the laydown servos part.

They got some good ideas going and atleast there trying to put them out at a reasonable price. Could you imagine if X-ray, Losi, mugen or Kyosho really came out with a
totally innovative buggy how much it would cost. Not to mention how much they already cost with just minor design changes or improvements.

I wish they would have continued with the front shock mount protective thing. I actually liked that idea just wish it was a stand alone piece. Not part of the gearbox brace. All and all I give them an A for effort. Now about the grade for actually being ideas that work and are durable and race viable improvements that grades going to be awhile coming.

RE: new tm buggy

The B8 will be a completely revised version of the M1-B.
I believe you could buy all the parts needed to update the troublesome M1-B to a B8 spec.
One think you cant fault with teh TM products is its quality though always top notch.
Problem with teh M1-B is they didnt do enough r&d out on the tracks and made changes as and when the issues came up.
My M1-B has been modded a bit but is one of the quickest accellerating buggies i have ever driven but has diabolical over steer.

The buggy just needs to get out and start proving itself and start changing poeples minds after the first versions made a bad rep of it.

RE: new tm buggy

I am looking for a good buggy. I have the old ofna gt and it does well but my buds have newer buggies like the losi 8ight, cen matrix and hot bodys. I have them all beat when it comes to driving but with a good buggy at my wheel i know i would be unstoppable. I was going to wait to get the new hyper 9 but I am not sure. I don’t want to get the same as my buds so what do you guys think.

Your taking a risk with a unproven buggy with limited parts availability.

I have found a place that sells the buggy and all parts. I remember back in the day buying an ofna and people said your wasting your time and money but it turned out to be a good buggy. But then again i could have just gotten lucky
