help !!?!!??
 
i took my engine off my buggy to clean it and when i put it back to get ther now when the car coasts orif i push it i hear a funny noise comming from the car did i put the engine in wrong or is the tranny or diff broken or need to adjust ?? if i still drive it can it damage the car because it drives fine but im just woried about the noice

Maye the spur and engine gear are not meshed correctly and you hear them clicking together.

whats the correct way or how do i adjust it properly ?

You can put paper between the gears when you mesh them and it should be able to be pulled out, it should pass through when the gears are turned and leave a nice pattern on the paper. Just make sure the gears are not too far apart, the teeth should be making good contact, but that the gears are not grinding.

Install the motor with the gears fully touching, snug all the mounting bolts then loosen them just slightly but still snug. Take a screwdriver and pry the motor at the mounts (very slight pressure) away from the spur then hold the spur with your finger and rock the clutch bell back and forth until you just start to hear a "tap" when you rotate the clutch in each direction. I don't do the paper thing personally but it works, I like to hear the tap that way I know there is just enough gap.

Never tried that before. But hey, to each his own. Go for what works.

Adjust the gear mesh to sound , a quite sound is a proper mesh .

i got it fixed no more annoying sound. i mounted the motor to close to the other gear. whats that gear called ??
