it depends on how you driver, what your driving on and how you like it to feel while driving. right now my eight is set up 5/2/3(f/m/r). losi stock set up is 7/5/2(i think)

5/7/2 is a good starting point.

5/7/2 is a good starting point, but if you want more steering(like me) try 5/5/2. Lots of on power steering, and plenty of corner speed. I made that suggestion to a fellow 8ight racer... we both love it! ;)

My personal preferance is 7/10/3.

I should have messed with that this last weekend. I had a helluva time coming onto the straightaway under full power without coming dangerously close to clipping the pit ramp :)

It has a lot to do with the surface you are driving on. I run a Jammin X1 on packed clay tracks. I have been running 5F-7C-3R. The thicker or heavier weight the oil the more unified the axles will turn.

Try it; it really helps the car rotate under power. We race on hard packed clay, and the layouts are all pretty tight and technical. So I needed something that I could sling into a corner, and power out of quickly. If they were long sweepers with lots of air(like a typical big 8th scale track) then 5/7/2 is a little easier.
