Hyper .21 engine
 

Hey, so ive got a Hyper .21 4 port engine that came with my Hyper 7, I need a new piston and liner for it so i was wondering if I could buy an 8 port piston and liner and it would be converted to an 8 port engine? Would this just be a straight swap or are there any other modifications? Thanks. Jake.

From the research that I have done, it looks like it is a direct swap. I was going to do the same swap if I had gotten a Hyper 7 TQ Black but I ended up getting a different buggy.

Its a direct swap. The only difference between the motors is the crank size and inner bearing. You can get a new 8 port piston and liner for $50 on ebay or a new 8 port for a $100 and there is a place that sells a pincher that works great for $12 too.

Nice! Ill probably get that when my engine completely dies, my problem isnt the pinch its that i have a score down the side of the piston, I don't know how it got there i was always so careful about getting dirt in but owell, Thanks again!
