brand new HYPER 7 question

just received my brand new HYPER 7 friday,,this thing looks pretty nice, when i ordered it the description said with a hyper .21, but when i opened it up it has a .28,,,,,not sure about the quality of the engine, but we will see, i also noticed there isn't any way to adjust the toe on the front, there is just a threaded rod without any flat spots to adjust, i thought this was supposed to be a race buggy?....my lx one even had adjustments..is there any way i can fix this

RE: brand new HYPER 7 question

they switch back to the hyper 28 a month ago and there is really no need for the different toe plates, its set up pretty good out of the box but you can always order them.

By tie rods, you mean these??

There should be a flat spots in the middle of the ties that one of the supplied tools will fit, looks like a mini open ended wrench. You just turn these whichever way you want to adjuts the set up.

If I'm wrong, post some pics please.

yes!! thats what im talking about,,, every rc vehicle i have purchased had flat spots on the tie rods to adjust,, this one does not, mine can't be the only HYPER 7 made like that, there is no way to adjust them even if there was a tool for them,

you'll have to detache one end of rod and screw it in or out depending on what you want

A deff PITA, but that's the only way I can think to do it. Actually, when you have it apart, measure them and get some proper replacement ones to change them out.

Hey no fair, I bought mine last year and got the .21, ah darn. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f.../cry_smile.gif

Oh well, from my experience, the .21 was crap, so Iguess I did have a reason to get a better engine. lol
