Stoopit ting
Well a few days ago, i was having a BLAST taking out the 9.5 comp pro on a 50F sunny, dry day. just tearing up the dead grass and jumping little plastic ramps in different angles and distance to practice for the track.
well, i went through a half gallon with nothing broken despite a few harsh landings, and after jumping it 15times in a row at about half speed, i bring it around for a temp number, so im coasting at about 8mph on the side walk than *pop* a little spigot on the sidewalk was hit by the inside of the front suspension system. the damage was ridiculous. CV-A- sheared in half Diff case- stripped Shock- snapped in half Shock tower- bent rear hing pin mount- snapped aluminum hinge pin mount- bent hing pins- bent sway bar link- shattered total list damage= $120-$150 (with new 15mm shocks to rebuild) the way the spout was formed, it missed everything but the guts that never should see impact (minus the shock and tower) anyone else have a freak accident like this? this is a first for me:D |

ORIGINAL: lez1troubles That what you get when you dont drive Kyosho.[:@] Dont bite my head off for the coment Mr Shark. Peace bro. surprisingly, this same spigot has taken out 2 control arms one on a bandit, one on a hpi mt, it has also claimed a bumper from a evader. and it also claimed my neighbors lawnmower (bent the crank) it hides in the grass stalking its prey.. damn thing[&o] |
RE: Stoopit ting

RE: Stoopit ting
ORIGINAL: bronx boy i have the same trouble with curbs/car tires and telephone poles they just pop up out of no where Theres a pothole on my street that has claimed 2 MT front arms, a C-hub, and a few other parts (all at once) it was about 4 inches deep It will be real fun this year seeing its now almost a foot deep. Funny thing was the city came out and fixed the 2 inch deep pothole right next to it and a few others nearby (theres literally about 30 2-3 inchs deep potholes on my street)... So the curbies and hidden water/gas main pipes are the least of my worries. The piss poor condition of my street was one of the driving factors in getting a savage it seems to be able to handel anything it drives into ;) |
RE: Stoopit ting
I hate when things hide in the grass waiting to pounce on the unsupecting [:'(]
put a small bucket over it or mark it with a stake and flag? ;) And lez....Kyosho's are not indestructable....I know 'cause I have the MP7.5 Kanai III as well in my stable. They're built more like Ferarri's ... not Mac Trucks. |
RE: Stoopit ting
Hi Tommygun32. I was in Calais(France) a couple of years ago with my buggy (also a MP7.5 Kanai) and was driving around on top of the cliffs,+/-40meters high when my buggy went WOT staight off the top and smashed into the rocks at the bottom. Thought that would be the end of my buggy but when I got to the bottom to pick it up there was absolutaly NOTHING wrong with it, took it back up to the top and started straight away. Thats why I personally think that KYOSHO build the strongest buggy on the market. :D
THIS IS NO BS. Nothing broken, nothing bent. Also jumped it over 2 caravans off a sk8board ramp, no problemo. (((((Kyosho))))) has found a cliant for life in me. I'll never buy anything else.;) |

I didn't like the idea of letting my $100 BL system goto waste so I spent $200 on a truggy that would be able to handle it so I got use out of it ;) OK I lied it also looked damn cool too I just used that as a reason to justify getting blowin $200 on it along with all the parts needed to convert it ;) |
RE: Stoopit ting
got a break today! jumped it non stop for 2 hours, did happen to nose dive on a brick after too fast a jump, bent the mount a tad, nothing a hammer cant fix! :D
i can tell the new diffs are doing their thing, lots more control. |
