Beginner Nitro Buggy
 

Hello!

For a while now Ihave been looking around for a nitro 1/8 buggy. My budget is around $500-$600 Australian dollars. So far I've found these buggies.

It is nice to see that more people are starting in on the sport of remote control racing so i am more than glad to help you out on your choice of rc cars.
I will start from worst to best
In my opinion the least raceable car is(if raceable is a word)would be the 1/10th i could not even be bothered to look at website couse you wanted what i would buy i would not even look at it for the price i am guesing it is just add a few hundred and get a proper one!
The gv dominator looks to be built a bit crapy and i would just rather the other ones over this.

I would rather the caster racing over the Infernos because it is just a nicer buggy it is so nice it is the buggy i have bought for my son to get into the sport with.

Hello again.

I thought the same about some of the Kyosho's. I also read somewhere that parts for kyosho cars were hard to come by?

the Caster Racing one seems to be a great quality buggy, and so does the S8BX.

Yer I have heard that kyosho part's are hard to come by depending on where you live.

Oh sorry just realised i had not answered that.
It is allright but what i have heard it has some plastic parts that i would not recomened to be plastic.

Do you know of any clubs in your area that you can race at.
I saw you were from australia so i found a website of racing clubs in brisbane for when you get your buggy.

Thanks. I really only want one to race (not seriously, just around in a paddock or something) with my friend or just play around with. After saying that, I still want a durable buggy that can take some thrashings.

You should race you can get great sponser ships and if you are just a begginner people there will help you on what to buy and what to do to get the best performance out of your car</p>

No, and as far as i know Hobby Time don't sell the ZX1.5 R. I had a go with it at a mates place. And when you say Brisbane's website address, where did you get that from?

i dont like to bash any brands but caster is far behind IMO. not very durable either, i have seen people run them at the track and never finish a race. but i have heard there new ones are pretty good but still a little behind. they look almost just like a Mugen MBX5. but i dont know much about caster except that i have seen them break alot.

Hello Yer i agree the old caster's were Not the best bet.
As i have got my son the new updated type the zx 1.5 it has had no problems.
Yes i agree the old ones did break down a lot but i am glad they brought out a new upgraded one.

A mate of mine has the EB4 and is a very good buggy but came as a roller and by the time he finished it owed him a fair bit of $$$
As far as the GV Dominator goes it is just a rerelease of my GV XT2 but with the Force .25, my one over the last 18 months has taken a beating like a redheaded stepchild time and time again with very minimal damage ie $30AUD bucks in parts.
Just for info I am 31 lol.....
