Possible engines
Hi everyone, have a raze with a blown out engine, was thinking of converting to electric but decided just to get a new engine. The ST .27 replacement is 169, looking at a few of the cheaper options out there, will any of these work?

RE: Possible engines
stay away from anything but 21s. also those engines you picked out wont last long. they are decent engines but just dont have a ong life span. if i was you i would get a Nova 21 BF limited. a great engine, easy to tune and i have heard of them getting around 10 gallons with them. i had two of them and they are great, they just temps at around 250.

RE: Possible engines
The Nova .21BF is indeed a good little engine as are the GO series engines which have a long lasting life spane IF you look after it properly. (Jmaxey is right about staying away from the larger engines as they will wreck your drive train and just drink to much fuel).

RE: Possible engines
No if your just bashing a .28 isnt bad. They just hog more fuel. I know plenty of people dont use them to race because the .28 has way too much power and it eats more gas. Just get a decent engine. The engines are labeled in order. If you can get a few extra dollars those engines will last 10+ gallons each and every one of them are good!

RE: Possible engines
that GO-5R.21 is a real hand full, more revs than you'll ever need if your just driving for the fun of it. Very good choise if it's fast'n'fun that your after. They also last for years.

Only thing is that you will need a starter box, a worthy investment(I went from needing 10-20 minutes to start to 3 seconds) |

RE: Possible engines
these racing engines will rape that crappy force .21. You will probably see 5mph faster depending on the motor. I cant really say though. ive been driving a go 7 port and 5 port now my modded 5 port will be here wednesday=)

RE: Possible engines
You can pick up a new Losi 454 (LRP .28) on ebay for about $100-$150. Look for jennys_rcsport, they have alot of new pulls, and I've been watching them sell for around $110-$120. One sold Saturday for $112.50 + $8.50 shipping.<br type="_moz"/>
