I’ve not seen these plans before, although I have seen kit boats modified with a similar “tunnel” down the center to allow positioning the motor lower on the hull. Any idea of the size of the boat?

Hi

Did you try download the rar file from the upper right hand corner? You cant just click on the files you have to download the rar file first, then unzip it. Here are the pictures from the file, unfortunately they don't show how to hook up the rudder up.

It doesn't show it on the plan but two of the pictures do. The radio gear is all under the center deck hatch, nothing fancy about that. The builder ran a push rod between the rudders to keep them parallel, again, nothing special or complex as shown on the bottom picture.
To connect the rudders to the controlling rudder servo, he ran what looks to be a wire or "Golden Rod" out of the radio box inside of a tube(probably brass by the color of it), through the deck, along side and outboard of the right vertical. This was connected to a control horn on the outside face of the right rudder. The push rod tube can be seen in the 6th picture(first to show a complete deck in the prop depression) and the last, finished boat picture. What the picture doesn't show is how the tube was sealed against water entry, something very important when dealing with electrical systems in a boat

That design looks like a cross between a Kamikaze and a Selph Inflicted Talered Flat Bottom. I run I/C in mine, so I build my engine mount to be adjustable to get the right CG.
