From the looks of the engine you will need a fuel pump or gravity feed fuel system. I'm not seeing the little crankcase vent hole to make a pump carb work. What is the brand of the engine?

Honestly I'm not sure what you would need to do, I don't think a pressure system would work very well.

Depending on the carb that you find to work, I would try props in the 15" to 16" range. Props on this engine will be something that you will just have to try.

It should turn the 14 x 7 3-blade MAS. Gasser hulls, no less than 38" no more than about 46" by about 21"-22"

Contact Lester Burch. He may have the prop adapter in stock, if not he can cut you one to fit your engine.

Where is the boot that came original with the saw that the carb was mounted to?

I see one option if you don't have the boot. Do you have, or have access to a piece of 1/4" aluminum plate?

Make an adapter plate from the aluminum plate to fit your chosen carb. Drill and tap holes in the intake manifold to mount the adapter plate to the engine, ( be sure to use flat head cap screws FHCS and countersink) after you're sure that the fit is correct, remove the adapter plate from the engine and use some high temp JB weld between the adapter and manifold, then screw back together and let cure. Make a gasket to fit between the carb and adapter.

Be sure to cross drill a couple of holes in the adapter plate for the pulse hole.

For the pulse hole, all you will to do is use a couple of pressure fittings from a Nitro engine muffler and drill and tap a hole in the crankcase and the adapter plate then run some fuel tubing between them.

I see that there are 4 really good engine mount holes on the engine, so no worries making an engine pod.
Is that a pusher prop there on the bench? If it is....you wont need it for this engine.

Edit: you won't need the pusher unless you plan on using the flywheel side to mount it. (I am assuming that you want a pusher type boat)

there are a few things with the nitro engines that will not allow the fuel to reach the carb.
fuel tank too low
bad fuel line or brass
low end needle closed off too much
high needle closed too much
blocked pressure tap on muffler
trash on the needles
air leak on pressure side
O-ring not seated below carb.
