Default how to work with depron/cell foam 88

I want to just do some mach ups of some hulls and i like working with depron because it is easy to cut fairly cheap but i have some problems.
whenever i buy depron it all ways comes slightly curved, how can i straighten it? could i turn an iron on low then put something on top and let it cool?
and it says u can use tacky glue with it but i tried that and it doesnt hold well? wat is aa glue that will dry fairly quick is cheap and water proof?

thanks
