Bush Wacker, I modified mine by removing the strakes, cutting the "V" out of the bottom and sanding it to a concave shape, then I widened the hull by two inches each side. It drastically changed this boat around. It will not flip as easy( I have'nt flipped it since the mod) and it will handle rough conditions a whole lot better. I will be doing a "How to" thread with a friend of mine and his boat after the first of the year. It will make the boat a lot more fun to play with. Dennis

The hull is a foam shape with a piece of wood down the center and covered with fibreglass. I sanded the strakes off without penetrating into the foam core. I drew lines on the bottom of the hull and cut through to the foam. I gently pried this piece out, epoxied a piece of 1/16th" plywood in the space left, and sanded till I had a smooth concave bottom. Doing this helped some but not enough. The boat still flipped too easily. That is why I widened the hull two inches each side. No more flipping now. Dennis
