engine

This question is for anyone who knows what type of engines are used on the cajun gators or mudmashers airboats that are sold. Any links to the motors?

I think the cajun gator gassers are CY engines, the same kind used on the hpi baja buggies, atleast thats what it looks like. look on ebay

Yes, they are CY27cc engines. They have plenty of power and come with pull start which is nice. They are dependable, do not use a lot of gas, and are not too expensive. They were going for around $150.00 on Ebay the last I heard. Sorry, I do not know the link. Dennis

If the motor didn't have a puul start how would one start a engine like that?

RE: engine

You would use an electric starter on the propshaft like a glow engine.

I have two engines, one is an O.S. 35cc, and the other is a McCulough 46cc chain saw engine. I had to buy a Sullivan starter for $100.00 to start them. The pull start is much easier and the CY engines are pretty strong. Some of the Cajun Gator boats run modded CY's but I'm not sure they are worth the trouble. They have shattered props and bent crank shafts with them. Probably too much torque and they may rev up too fast for the Master Airscrew props. I personally prefer the APC two and three bladed props.
