Aquacraft mini alligator tours brushless

I have recently bought a mini alligator tour and stock it just doesn't preform like I would like. I have done some searching but have found no useful information, so here are some of my ideas...

I tried the fuse 8300kv and it got way to hot way too fast. I was told that this motor just didn't have the torque to spin the prop.

i looked at some out runners but can't find any thing with a high kv most are under 2000

So what suggestions do y'all have?<br type="_moz" />

I'm using a 7.4 lipo. I'll also be upgrading my ecs with the motor. What kind of speed do you get with a 980. I tried a castle 6800 and was no where near happy withe the speed

Not really fast it used to weigh just over a pound and fliping was around every turn now it weighs 2.5 and im using the 9.6 to pull it through the grass have yet to get it back on the water. There is a few youtube vids that u can find down this page a bit... i think this new set up will get to about 25mph... search aero surface drifter thats the boat/surface rc i buit..

Since there is a limited space for a larger MAH battery, does anyone have any ideas on how to get more run time on the Mini Aligator Tours?

Larger amp hour does not mean bigger battery. The 7.2 that i added cells to is still only 1600 mah
search 4 a higher amp hour 7.2

(Oops sorry tought u had nimh batts not sure if bigger amp hour means bigger lipo)...

My Mini AGT boat has a 380 brushed. Are there any LIPO batteries that will work with the same connector? Also has anyone checked the balance of the prop to see how good it is?

Has anyone had the original servo die on them? Mine will turn the rudder hard right but will not turn left. I think the potentiometer is pooched. I only have ten runs on this boat....Really?

New here as well.. Wife just bought me the Alligator Tours RC Airboat.. Ran it 5 minutes and took it home. Cut the rigging out and rebuilt the entire rigging to match my real 4 seater Georgia Bulldog airboat with a 0470 Continental.. The guy at the Hobby Town ordered a motor, prop, electronic speed controller and new controller radio to match.. Initial boat was around $140 and I have about $250 in new parts. Boat will run about 30 and run dry ground all day. Will post pictures of it when done. Its repainted a silver hull, black rigging and Ga Bulldog logos like my real one.. This hobby can get expensive..
