i was wondering if a Futaba Attack 2ER 40MHZ 2 Channel Remote and two high torque S3003 Servos would be any good to run my 25cc airboat?

First of all,40mhz is illegal in USA-27 and 75 mhz are used here.Secondly,3003 servos are not high torque and might not be robust enough for that size boat.[8D]

I run my air boat with a 40 find less interference with 40 than 27

as far i as know you can use 40 and 27 for cars boats etc but planes have to use 35 but you cant use 35 for boats maybe just a ploy to get you to buy more than one transmitter lol

i keep my 35 for my plane the 40 and 27 for my boats not want my 35 one getting wet way too expensive i get mine from e bay usally £6 to £7 for a transmitter and you can pick up a receiver for £5 if you use gixen its a free sniper

Frequencies permitted in Europe are not the same as in USA.
What you say here, is valid only for Europe.

There are several 'services' in the 40 Mhz range in the USA. Because of that, it's use for R/C'ing is not legal, and not too smart, depending on what's in use around you. For instance, some 'baby-monitors' are in the 40 Mgz range. Not too sure that would be the 'best' sort of interference in the world (either way :)). Also some of the older 'cordless phones'. There are a few Part-97 devices, low power, have to accept any interference received type thingys around too. No idea if the 'Rat Shack' does that or not, but probably. The 40 Mhz radios are not the 'best' option here in the USA. Doesn't say anything about if they're any good or not, just not the best option.

D-MO, do yourself a favor and use those 3003's on the throttle only. They only have about 40-50 inch-ounces of torque and they are said to not center(neutral) real well. You should use a servo w/ at least 80 inch-ounces of torque. Have fun! Dennis
