Taken with a FlipShare video camera. No optical zoom, so you get whatcha get. The upside is it uses AA batteries, and no need to wait for special ones. ;)

Yea, Dennis was driving while I ran the video. It was so cold that day that I couldn't feel my fingers anymore. Forgot to bring my gloves. So I had NO problem letting Dennis drive!

Oh, THOSE batteries. I thought you meant batteries for your camcorder. I ordered 6 batteries (4 for me, 2 for Dennis) from the same place, about the same time you did. I just received a confirmation email saying they've been shipped, finally. I have 2 batteries already, so still have ~ 30 minutes of runtime.

Hope to get some better pictures when Dennis gets his up and running. Really need a bright sunny day to get crisp action shots with the zoom lens.

I'm actually waiting for my 3S lipos that I ordered from hobbyking, they are closed due to the chinesse new year :( I'm just wainting for them to ship my order of batteries, CDI ignition for my gasser, and some other goddies, my 3S lipo died on my RC Car when I flipped and the battery took flight and smatched into the ground, that was my only 3S lipo that I had, Right now the battery is sitting inside a container with salt water so I can disposed properly.

I read somewhere that if you damage your lipo by scratching the aluminum or if it's puffy, it could catch on fire so for safety they say try to discharged all you can with a motor or lamp, and then put it for 2 weeks inside a container with water and salt, aparently this will neutralize the battery and then you can dispose it properly.

Mine have been on the container for about 2 weeks now

I had never heard of that before, but I'm new to Lipo batteries.

I used to have a 3S lipo with very lo C rating and I overstressed the battery with a brushless jet ski that I have and it was puffy (the aluminum bag was fill with gases) this is also a indication of a good battery but not very safe, it could explote or catch fire at any moment.

Also Robert I saw that the 40c battery instantly dies , do you have the lipo cut off feature on the ESC active?

Look at the end of this video, I was using the same brand of battery that you have but with the lipo cut off feature active, and you can see how it slowly lowers the throttle but it doesn't die instantly.

I will definitely have to use that feature of the ESC with the 45C batteries. As you saw in the first video, no warning. Just suddenly dead, and I'm lucky to get a couple of throttle bumps to it towards the bank. In the second video, I was using Dennis' 25C batteries. Same performance and runtime, but those gave a decent warning as the power tapered off.

Now to find the ESC instructions... :D

Would it be possible to have an emergency battery that you could switch over to using the 3rd channel on the remote?

Have the 3rd channel energize a relay or something to switch from the dead battery to the charged one?

I know whats the problem, I'm guessing you have the lipo cut off feature on, because is active by default, but the feature cuts throttle to 50%, on my runs I always do full throttle and I'm able to see when the throttle gets cut off, but when run your boat at 1/4 or 1/2 throttle you wont be able to notice the cut off feature kicking in.

I bought several ofthis gadgets but I haven't received them yet , but it has LED and a BUZZER to alert you when the battery voltage falls below 9v.

Total Failure, I loose control everytime, going left to right even at low speeds. Sponsons like the one I put didn't work at all.

Carlos,

You might try locating a couple of skegs as Dennis did on his airboat. These really made a huge difference in the performance & handling. These are in the water a lot more than ones on the sides of the hull. Might make a difference. I plan on adding one on the bottom center of my Anarchy as well.

I will do this mod next, I just removed the sponsons on the sides, I will try the ones at the bottom, maybe 1/4 to 1/8 tall and see.

it dose not take much on the bottom of the hull to make a difference.
