BEC and SEEKING

Hello, i am kinda new to FE, ran gas boats for a few years. im kinda confused on exactly BEC and SEEKING mean whenreferring to ESC's. just a small question i would love to finally have an answer to lol thank you so much

BEC is short for Battery Eliminator Circuit. What a BEC does is powers the receiver from the motor batteries to eliminate the weight and space requirements of a dedicated receiver battery pack. Most are programmed to shut down the motor when the batteries get too low of charge to prevent a runaway situation that could damage the boat/plane/car or injure people. As for "seeking", not sure on that one

If the one you were looking at was the one at the end of the link in my previous post, then it is not an ESC that seeks. It is reckoned by its marketing people to be a king of the sea, hence "SEA king", but run into one word. Just a small difference in spelling.
