O.K., on the Midwest model "Patriot Fireboat", Midwest uses a "D" shaped (sort of, with rounded corners) 'foam' rubber strip as a fender/rub rail around the hull. Since I also have the Midwest Liberty Tug, under construction, I thought it would be a good idea to put a similarly sized fender/rub rail on the Liberty Tug. It would have to be a little smaller, 3/16" x 3/8" and rather than "D" shaped it would need to be rectangular. I don't think 'hard' rubber would work because of it's inability to go around curves, especially the bow.

What do you think of the idea? Where do you think I could find such an item?
