Default Have a problem and you guys will have the answers.

Hey guys, so heres my problem. My little brother bought an NQD jet boat and he wanted me to upgrade it all so I tried. We got everything! 35amp Turnigy marine ESC 3s 35c lipos and a full spektrum radio setup and a 3200kv brushless. Now when I was trying to put it all back together it seems as if my prop shaft is bent some how and you cant buy replacement parts so this thing has never ever run and it seems as if it wont. I know they sell the graupner mini jet but im sure I cant use the stuff I have already with it.

So here is my question, What can I do I feel extremely bad and I dont mind spending money on a new boat for him but I would really like to use the parts I have Mainly the ESC and the Receiver the motor was super cheap so that I dont mind if it goes to waste. What do you guys suggest, what boat could I use this stuff with or just need some advice from you guys.

we are both new to boats so I dont really know much about what I can do or where to turn.

Please HELP!!!!

If you would post a picture of the hull you are working on, it would make it easier to help you.

Well basically here's the deal I want to use as much of my new hardware as possible. I have a brand new receiver and radio brand new 35amp marine esc. And brand new 3000mah lipo's. So what can I get to replace the jet boat because I'd rather put money into something a little better instead of playing with this low quality stuff. I didn't think it was going to be such a pain modding the jet boat but the jet drive is complete junk so instead of paying 60 for another junk jet boat I'd rather put it in to something different and better quality. Any ideas????

Would you consider building a boat? There is a boat called "Wild Thing" that is a shallow "V" hull that can be set up for electric power with a couple of minor changes. I don't know of anyone that sells a kit for this boat so you would have to build from plans. It has a relatively low parts count so it's not a difficult build

Building a boat wold be great fun actually! I've built planes in the past so a smaller boat shouldn't be to hard. Ill have to look into finding the plans. Thanks! But does anyone have any other ideas before I go to build a boat??

Can you not go to a local hardware store, and by a length of
stainless steel, or brass to replace the shaft?

You can't remove the prop from the shaft it seems to be on there pretty good. I mean its broken already so I guess I will try it but I don't think its going to

Maybe you can drill a hole through a piece of wood, and slide the prop shaft through it, then
grab the shaft from the back side with vice grips and tap the shaft out of the propeller?

if you want to build your own there are plenty of hulls on ebay to suit your needs.
the first link would be your best bet everything comes with apart from motor and radio gear.
