The answer is now if you are looking for a new gas or nitro boat to race.

friend is looking for a boat. looked at the proboat shockwave 26 brushless for $240 and ha might spend the money for a miss gieco $340 since its supposed to be fast.

do you run regular lipos like in rc cars? or is there special ones for boats? anyone know how fast the gieco will be on a pair of 7.4v lipos? and can it handle 11.1v lipos? if so how fast on it?

got a feeling hes going to op for the gieco boat.

Same Lipos,
check the video from proboat and also check the miss geico thread, it seems to run in the mid 30's out of the box.

miss geico thread: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9795072/tm.htm

the boat runs on 2 x 2S and many on the thread have been saying that the ESC can handle 5S max.

Dan.

You say under $200.BY has a ovalmaster at 21" mono with a HK 2845 2700 inrunner with a 632 Octura prop on 3s lipo ( 2200 ) that cuts waves like nobodies business. I'd get hold of Randy at BBY and he gives straight answer like Steve at OSE. I've heard nothing but glowing results on this boat. Maybe someelse will chime in. Have a good day! The thing is not to overpower a boat or it becomes a disappointment. Now 3s at 2700 at full charge of 8.3 =29,970 rpm which is real close to the sweet spot of rpm.
