CG stands for center of gravity. if you were to set the boat on this point only it should be ballanced. When you set your boat up try and place the stuff in the boat to ballance it at the CG point. I use a piece of 1 inch PVC and set the boat accross it and it gets em close.

so, should the cg be different with each craft? Should it be directly in the center, to the front, the back? Thank you for your response though, greatly appreciated.

It will vary from boat to boat. The CG is a point in space not only from front to back but also up and down. You want to keep it as low as you can to improve stability and the distance forward from the rear of the boat will determine how the boat rides. This does not take into consideration aerodynamic loading on the boat at speed. This is a whole different subject to get into. Hope this helps.

2/3 rds back is a typical balance point, maybe more with your airboat to keep her nose in the air. Where does it balance at now?
