Truck bed liner - how can you strip it from a plastic hull?
I just bought an old Traxxas Villain IV that a previous owner sprayed the lower hull with truck bed liner. Does anyone know something that will strip this stuff without eating the plastic? A speedboat with a lumpy surface on the hull just is not cool....
I have tried oven cleaner, it softens it to where you can (with a lot of effort) scrape some of it with a thumbnail, and brake fluid (which did nothing).

That sucks! I have no idea, linex is about the only thing holding the box of one of my trucks together, none of the toxic spills in it have even softened it up.

I have found that the hull doused with oven cleaner and wrapped with saran wrap for 5 hours lessens the adhesion of the paint. I have a nylon windshield gasket tool that will then scrape it off - in most areas. It will take a long time, but it is coming off finally.
