That looks like a pretty nice build. Have you put an ad in the lost and found? Someone would be happy to get that back. Hopefully it wasn't stolen.

How does a model boat "wash up behind a house"? Do you live on a houseboat on a pond?

The model boat is a box stock Formula Sprint, manufactured in Asia and sold by several companies. The radio receiver and battery in it were added by the boat owner. Otherwise, this is how that particular model boat arrives. There is no building, it is an ARTR.

Lost and found adds are free. Boats and conscience aren't.

I agree. While it is great to find such a boat. You know there is someone out there feeling pretty bad at its loss. No different than finding a dog etc. Reach out and see if you can find its owner before making plans for its use. You know it would not take long for the old owner to identify it if you are using it and then you look like a thief (not implying you in any way are). Rc boating community is small and if it washed up then it is likely local. Try hobby stores in the area.

A little honor now and who knows what the reward will be!
