Default Brushless RC boat water pickup design

Hi guys,

I am installing a set of dual rudders on my 52" brushless boat and the new set does not have water pickup. I will have to fit off a set of water pick ups.
I've found on internet a different design of the more common transom design (right picture) and I would like to know If anyone has used it and how it perform when compared to each other. The second water pick up (left hand side) is mounted on the bottom of the hull.
I would appreciate some feedback.

Thanks!

The left hand ones mount on the transom will pick up more water and for longer as the boat skips out of the water.

Or if you use car ESC's which have an electric fan on top you would not have all the plumbing.

We run non water cooled motors in our boats but you can get electric fans to mount on motors if required.

Google "prop blast water pick up" and look at the images. They are less drag than the transom mount and you can probably make one yourself.
