Default Jet Stream 800 Rebuild help

Hi guys I have a kyosho jet stream 800 im looking to rebuild im a newbie to the rc electric stuff and dont know much about it all. Im looking to rebuild it pretty much ground up other then the transmitter. I dont really know what to do with it and how to do most of it so if you guys would give me some input it would be very much apreaciated. im looking to get her going about maybe 20 MPH and not trying to break the bank doing it. looking to try and stay around the $100 range if even posibble. Thanks again

$100 cannot get much done with that boat. To rebuild from ground up is sounding like $300 or more. Which would include motor, esc, batteries, control, charger and hardware. You might be better off looking at a new boat. The aquacraft revolt 31 is a nice boat but it is above your $100 budget.

I have the same boat, I added water cooling, EVX2 speed controller, twin 14.4 volt Traxxas Titan 21t motors, and a glass filled prop. Powered by 2 20c lipo bats. It's alot faster but unstable, and has alot of torque steer. Fun boat that I have had since I was 10 years old. Very limited parts availability for the factory gear box, drive shaft, and drive unit is a down side.
