Default How to secure carb guide tube?

I am working on fixing the throttle push rod on a gasoline boat I bought and have this question. I need to secure the yellow guide tube to the carburetor and not sure how to do it? The previous owner used what looked like melted wax but that disintegrated. Can I use epoxy?

Here is another pic showing the stuff used on the other end.

It kind of looks like JB Weld but you can tell better than me. A drop of CA glue will do the job.

Thanks Ron. I went ahead and bought some 30 minute epoxy, hopefully it will do the trick.
