semi submersible boat/platform/oil rigpes help please?
Hi,
I've been looking in to building a rc semi submersible boat/platform for the purpose or mounting a tripod with a camera on for filming water sports in choppy water.
I have been looking around but i cant seem to see anything remotely close to what i'm thinking of as the platform needs to stable so that the footage has a chance of being usable....
my best thoughts so far would to build something like the pic below out of large PVC pipes and a selection of model boat and submarine parts for the motor and bilge pumps...
My question is, has any one done this before? or something similar like making an RC oil rig? would love to see any pics of similar builds? or any other thoughts and questions welcome...
(im still in the design process but if/when i build it i will document the progress for anyone who wants to follow)

One problem is the scale sea state. I have spent enough time on smaller semis to know that even a semi can move around if the waves are large enough. Besides design, you will need to consider wave size to be able to build a steady camera platform. The movement of waves below the surface are not exactly scalable, your pontoons will have to be below that depth to stabilize the camera. Great idea, just not sure of your conditions.
