Question First Rc Boat Kit?

I am a newcomer to boats in general and want to get into building scale boats. I have experience with planes and rc electronics and a basic understanding of woodworking. What would be a good first kit for me?

Depends on what kind of boat you like, and where in the world you are. You might not want international shipping and import duties.

Let's personalize your new scale boat.

Do you want a beginer boat but toy like?
How big/long you want?
sorry to say, many wood kits are discontinued.
Dumas still around.
If you are near NYC, I have some nice wood NIB kit for you. No shipping, didn't work out too good.
85% in to RC submarine.
Some time the wood in the kit, you may end up replace them.
how much scratch build you want to do?
There a lot of free plan, or buy the one you like.
Balsa wood and fiberglass. Just like the airplane you may have build.
Need more info.
do a search in YouTube of the ship you like, or
http://www.woodenboat.com/
we go from there.

give Loyalhanna Dockyard a try, see what he come up with.

From rc airplane to ship, you may like the build, but may be too relaxing on the water.
