Default RC boat shaft siezed

Hello All,

I have an AquaCraft Rio EP, a small electric boat that I had used last year with no problems. After coming back to it this summer, the shaft had completely seized. In my own stupidity I tried to pull & twist the shaft out of its housing and ripped it off.
Do you have any recomendations on how I could remove the shaft?

I've considered hitting it with a hammer to knock it loose or or try drilling it out, but wanted confirmation before trying anything.

Thank you!

Did you grease the cable before you put it away for the winter? If not, the cable is probably corroded to the tube and will be a bear to get out.
One thing you can do is to flood the tube with WD-40 or similar and, after letting it sit for a good amount of time, heat the tube and see if you can pull the cable out. If that doesn't work, you may have to remove the tube as well and replace it and the cable
