Im building a 36" caterman with twin 2250 kv motors and 150 amp escs.. wanted to know if 6s batteries would be to much for the motors??? Looking for recommendations Thanks

Cool

IME 6S is a lot for those motors. It might work for short speed runs, but they will get hot. I set several catamaran SAW records with a 2200 Kv motor on 6S in a 32” hull, amp draw was well above 150 amps. You don’t tell us the size of the motors (that actually matters) or the props you intend to use, nor your speed expectations. More information will help us to help you.

Thank you for the information. It's my first boat build I've built rc cars before but this is a first for me.. I'm not sure on the props yet as for the motors I have are 2250kv hobby star and I guess I'd like to get the boat to go as fast as possible with 150 amp escs maybe change the motors?? Any suggestions would be really great Thanks again!!
