I just bought a used traxxas nitro vee off of eb4y. I heard one time that there is another type of nitro fuel to be used in marine engines, is that true? Doesnt seem like it would be But I felt the need to check with other people.

Yes, we fuel that we use has a higher oil content, usually 18-20% that could be a mix of castor and synthetic. Most car and plane fuel has 10% oil.

That is one nice boat you bought. You have to hand launch it though and keep the speed up.
It cavitates a lot when you just place it in the water and try to run it. Whilst running....if you slow up, it just sits there and cavitates. It is frustrating in the beginning until you get the hang of running this boat.
If you want a nice deep vee from slow to top speed try the the Kyosho Nitro Viper. Same size engine and a whole lot friendlier.
