Just built a Airstreak GP. This is my first attempt at RC boating and will not be my last one! Took it to the river this weekend and had a blast! The thing starts easily and runs fantastic. The only thing that I did not like is that it doesn't stay in the water when running over half throttle. Any tricks to get the water out of the engine after flipping? I took out the glow plug and pulled it for some time until it sprayed out all the water... is this the usual technique?
Do I need to add trim tabs or ballast to it?
What kind of upgrades can I add to this boat?
How can I keep water out of the radio box?

AirStreak 500 was also my first GP boat.
Yes, take out the glow plug and pulled the starter cord for some times is the only way to force the water out without using other tools. I usually hold the boat upside down when pulling the starter cord.
Yes, add trim tabs will stop the hopping (see photo). I use the Kyosho one.
Add another turn fin on the left side will make the left turn much more easier.
Apply epoxy to seal the top lid of the radio box completely, seal the servo rods with silicone sealant.
Lastly apply the radio box tape that came along with the kit to seal the tranparent plastic sheet on the top of the radio box according to the user manual said.
Since the fuel will make the ABS hull crack, you need to clean the hull completely and pump out the fuel in the fuel tank after each days run.
