Hello Everyone....
You will be pleased to know that I got my Atlantio today which I named Cruise 2. It's huge, really, really big (which I wanted). First things I want to say are 1. It definitley needs a cooling coil (it got really hot) on only 1 pack. 2. The cooling coil can fit on the engine. (It's got tons of room in it's hull) 3. The battery pack lasted about 10 minutes. I am going to buy the cooling coil tommorow morning. I was going to buy the 4 other battery packs online but I found it is cheaper at my local hobby shop. Well for the stick packs it is (mine is a stick pack). Mine draws a lot of water and makes a huge wake and is very fast but I didn't know that it made a big enough wake to capsize and sink another boat! Me and my brother were racing and I veered in front of his boat and the next thing I know it flipped! So, I went to turn around to push it to shore and the rear end was leaning in the water and I couldn't save it Then the rear went down and the front was sticking up vertically! It completley sank out of sight...my brother was so mad. So then we dove out to get it and it was water-logged and completley soaked. If you turned it on it would stay in reverse and you had no control whatsoever. It's drying now, but I had a few questions on mine. This was in a small pond...not a lake (I thought this would be best for it's maiden voyage) but if that did it to my brothers boat (his is 17'' long) do you think my boat in a lake would sink on a calm summer day? We have a very small lake near our house that we could use it in but I want to know what everyone thinks. It says on mine that is is specially balanced to right itself if it leans...and it says for use in ponds and lakes....I just wanted to ask these questions as a percaution so I won't sink mine. I am going to do my own testing in the bath tub and see what it would do in one of those unfortunate events. Thanks again!

Here is a bit of extra reading.[X(]

Most of the fast boaters I know have a water tight box that traps enough air, or enough foam in the front of the boat to keep it from going completely under the water.
They are so much easier to recover that way.

It's 25 inches long and you would be shocked at the wake it makes! Below is my boat..the one that sunk my brothers...I don't have any pictures of his. I'll be sure to tell him to put that foam in it...that's what I was thinking as it was sinking...LOL!

Good to hear you're happy with your boat!
Sorry to hear your brother sank his..., make sure you get floatation in yours.
Judging by the pic, there is room for a cooling coil.
What battery did it come with (how many mAh)?
Regards, Jan.

Yes...I am definitley going to get flotation in mine...It came with a 7.2V 1700mAh stick pack...it ran for about 10 minutes which is pretty good for one pack...more packs are on the way. Yes I am really pleased with the boat...everything I wanted...and it was a relief that the cooling coil could fit...I was thinking it wouldn't. Thanks for all of your help and advice.

Hey Jan...I did those sea worthiness tests in my bathtub LOL.....And I was pleased with the results....I set it in the water completley upside down and to my surprise it turned right over and it was like it never happened...I was impressed. I also held it down and turned on the motor to see how powerful the motor was and It has torque! Of course I am still going to put that foam in as an extra...I think I am going to put that in when I open it up and do the cooling coil/inlet/outlet, ect...just do it in one spurt. Hope you liked seeing the pictures.
