I'm making a electric boat for a national challenge (schools marine challenge) and i am looking for a simple hull shape: probably a planing hull but not to complex cos this is our first hull.

Try www.rcstore.com for simple hull plans for electric boats. Probably other Schools have already gotten their plans in there. Another site for fast electrics www.rumrunnerhobbies.com .

oh yeah, I forgot these

Scale these or the crackerbox to any size you want, and have fun.

Thanks,
Its got to be smaller than 440ml long. But it only is allowed to run on the supplyed 4.8v batteries. We only have very basic electrics. 2 channel RC, motor, battery, switch and a tiny little prop [:'(]

We have also made a small solar powered trimarange. But that is a displacement hull.

Seems to me you'll need something like a Eco-type hull, extremely light built.
How long is 440ml?
What type of motor do you have (to use)?
Sounds like quite a challenge....
Regards, Jan.

Try www.microhydros.com or www.danvo.com for small boats. If a pre-built boat is allowed, try something like a Zig-Zag racer. 12-15 MPH and runs on 4 cells and maneuverable.

I'll mail you a stepped monohull plan tonight, easy adaptable in size.
Half the original in this case.
Should be fast and maneuverable.
Regards, Jan.
Plans are in the mail Young Master Took (19.20 h)

That's too bad.
I've sent you the plans anyway, just build one (or more) and get a headstart for next year!
