Since no two boats ( even if they have same hardware and motor and pipe ) are the same , I would go with a 275 and go from there . Back cut if needed and mod from there .

Take the prop off the stub shaft. Then look at the middle of the prop, in the same spot were the prop nut meets the prop. You will see some numbers. That's the prop number. For example: Prather 275 - the prop is a Prather 275. Or if it says Octura 670 - the prop is an Octura 670.

That is placed there due to that member must have broken some rules ( for example - cuss words , and or defamatory remarks directly towards another member ) and each time he/she responds to a post , it FIRST has to meet the moderators approval BEFORE others can see what he/she wrote .

We've had a little trouble with "Olivia" if she is in fact a she or a member that they've had trouble with in other parts of the site and has been booted. When you get put on Moderated status, your postings have to be first approved by a Moderator.
We do have ways of tracing people down.
OK "Olivia", I will answer your question. A fishing reel with a Tennis ball attached is one of the more popular ways to retrieve a boat. I use a fishing pole myself with a top-water lure attached for a boat that has died close by. Otherwise I take along an inflatable 2 or 3-man inflatable boat for boats further out. Never swim after a dead boat, it's too dangerous. Yes, there are cases of people drowning doing this.
In response to the subject at hand, on one of my boats, I went through at least 6 props to find the one that my boat liked so I agree with TerboBob. Two of the props were almost identical in pitch and diameter, just from different companies.
BTW, I just cleared "Olivia's" posting.

I have been reading a bit about the props, I will buy a few differant ones and try them out, but to get a prop and then balencing that can be an expencive experiment. But thats to all for your input, much apprichted. O and I have a 1 man raft in the trunk of my car, havent had to take it out of the box yet but it is there with a set of fold up plastic oars.. Thanks Again,
