How do you pick a prop for your boat? I’m new at prop selection so what are the rules picking a new one. Like Kyosho plastic props on the 800 outboard’s or the out drive’s. What is the easiest way to replace with something good. THX………….

Kyosho props are not bad, they only flex a little, if you replace it with the same size and pitch in brass or stainless steel you'll be surprized with the performance gained.

Rules? There are no rules!
You have to find out what the boat and motor like. I bought at least a half-dozen props for my sons .21 mono to find one that the boat likes. A good starting point for your boat is to try props that are in the neighborhood of what the came with if it hasn't been modded. For instance, if the prop is a 40mm diameter, you'd try an Octura X-440/3 or a Prather 215. Most Kyosho props have a lot of pitch. One with less will be easier on the motor and let it wind up a little more.
