Default prop size?

Hey Guys,

I know this will sound like a stupid question, but here goes. For the diameter of the prop, say it's a 40mm x whatever pitch, to check clearance with the rudder, would I measure 20 mm from the center of the prop shaft? just curious as I need to make sure that I don't hit the prop with my rudder. I'm working with limited space for placement, but want to make sure there is not going to be any problems.

The boat is a Dumas Drag 'N Fly 20 with Octura hardware.

Thanks

Yup. Just in case info. If you ever plan on racing that boat, those parts aren't legal for racing. The strut has to be under the hull. With thet strut that is in the drawing shown, you won't have to worry about prop clearance as the prop will be out behind the hull.

Actuall Ron, the rudder blade is right beside the prop. The prop is not far behind the transon. Oh and this is just a fun boat, no racing for me!!

OK, give yourself anough room for when the rudder swings to the right or left, depending on where you place it, a good 1-1/2" should do.
