Default outboard engine mount

Hi,

i have a K&B 3.5 and K&B 7.5 CC outboard engine and on my boat, the engine mount is poor. (mainly because it's homemade!) but ayways, my main question is if there is anything out there that i can buy that would make this work. I need an engine mount that's sturdy and light and will block out water from where it is connected. Thanks so much

I don't really understand what you're doing. Are you swapping engines on one hull? The Du-Bro motor mounts can be interchanged easily between a 3.5 and 7.5cc motor. Octura makes a really nice motor mount also and has slightly more setback than the Du-Bro's.
If you're worried about some leakage into your hull, put a little Shoo-Goo type of stuff around the threads while putting on the mount. Spraying something like WD-40 on the threads will help to keep the goo from sticking.

you would do much better buying the Du-Bro adjustable motor mount they are very easily to change motors and are very well made for the price. I have tried both on my lapcat and spitfire and the du-bro seemed to work much better
