Default Shockwave 36

I ran a Shockwave with stock prop, reasonable speed, then after break-in and without removing shims tried a 440 2-blade I had and the RPM's increased 10% and the speed dramatically improved. Engine seems much happier with the higher RPM's. Anybody else have this reaction with a 440 2-blade(bronze)

It's an Octura, popular with the Nitro "V" boat as an upgrade. The difference without changing any thing else was "Amazing". Substantially faster and accelerates quicker and that is with the extra shims on the head.

Sorry, don't have a website in mind, I obtained the prop from my local hobby shop. Maybe somebody on the forum can help.[]

Just fill up the bow and other empty spaces with styrofoam blocks, cut to fit and fixate them into place.
Don't use building foam out of a spray can, it'll expand your hull to death...!

there is nothing wrond with the stock ones. as stated a million times on this site, you have to leave a 1/8" to 1/4" gap between the drive dog and strut. but since ya lost one i would grab a prather those are top line and then calll the manufacturer and tell them to send you a new flex for free since its a manufacturer flaw. happy boating!

the proboat shaft looks like a wet noodle next to the prather shaft, i would highly recommend upgrading! I cut my shaft to 11 5/8" (from end to end) and it leaves a nice gap, you could probably get away with cutting it to 11 1/2" and be fine.

Do you know what the part number is for the shaft?
Is it PRA8020?

any of the prather 3/16 shafts will work, you just have to cut it to length...

also, here are some pics of my and my buddy's shockwave 36, the third pic is our rescue boat hard at work!!
