Default Ripped???

Wazzup guys? I believe I have just let myself get ripped off. I HAD a Dumas Circus Circus kit on the for sale forum. I was contacted by a fella that was very interested. He offered a swap and I accepted. We supposedly checked on shipping and agreed to ship to each other. So gullable me sent my nib kit on its way. I Emailed the tracking, insurance info, and asked about the item he was to ship me. That was last Tuesday. Have not heard from him since. I am being hopeful that I will hear something from him soon. But I wait in vein I believe. So I guess I will moan and groan a little. And be a little less accepting of the people I meet. But I can say this is the first bad egg I have experienced here. Most of the people are kind and helpful.

Sic the Postal Inspector on him (if you used USPS). Having Federal Officers show up on his doorstep to escort him away in cuffs sorta cures this problem.

Unless the item shows up soon you should take action on several fronts. First. As mentioned if sent via USPS let the hounds from the Postal Inspector's office rip him up. This will send a clear message to him and other's here.

Second. Post the crooks username and personal info so others can be informed. It is my experience that bottom feeders like that pull the same easy scam in the same places until run off.

Please keep us up to date and good luck.

Default Ripped???

Hey I finally got this guy to respond by snail mail. He gave me a sob story about how he lost his job, can't find work, tore up his only car, had to move from his place, and pawn all his computer stuff. I offered in my letter to him pay for the return shipping of either my boat or his and he said he would. I also informed him that he was reported to the Postal Inspector, Federal Trade Commision, and that if I do not get any further response legal council would be in touch with him.

He seemed remorsful and quite willing to cooperate.

What do you think about it?

one thing to do, is leave Karma on these people so they get marked for what they do... I would rather see that than I got ripped threads.

Sounds like a bunch of BS to me.

Don't forget a letter or two from an attorney, explaning the upcoming charges he will be facing.

There is no excuse for the guy not to send your property back, COD, asap.
